The iconic Stan Smith sneaker is getting a significant makeover this spring. For the first time in the brand’s history, this classic silhouette that has transcended sport and style for generations is now accessible to golfers everywhere.
In preparation for the 2021 Masters, Adidas Golf has introduced a limited edition – Stan Smith Golf – to give fans a versatile and more sustainable option to sport their style on the course.
Always iconic and now more sustainable, this limited edition spikeless Stan Smith version of the shoe features a Primegreen upper made with high-performance recycled materials. The distinctive green paneling makes a statement that speaks to our journey to end plastic waste.
“I’ve had a front-row seat to see how this shoe has evolved over the years, so to see it make its way to golfers while also using sustainable materials is really something special. It shows the versatility that this shoe offers to everyone, and it will be fun to see it bring some additional style to the course.”

In addition to helping the environment, this version of the Stan Smith uses spikeless rubber outsoles with traction inspired by the shoe’s original sole design. This feature gives golfers traction when they need it and the versatility to wear the shoe anywhere from the clubhouse to a post-round BBQ.
Additional cushioning in the midsole provides support in every step. Subtle features like a removable white kiltie that houses a gold-colored ball marker with the Adidas Trefoil logo also give this popular model distinctive characteristics to push the on-course style further.
“The Stan Smith is one of the most recognized footwear silhouettes in the world. The show has become part of the wardrobe for so many people over the last few decades, so to finally bring that same vibe, personality, and style to the course is something we know a lot of golfers will be excited about.”
– Masun Denison, Global Footwear Director, Adidas Golf
The limited-edition Stan Smith Golf will come in the traditional Originals blue shoe box. It will contain a commemorative dust bag to help keep the shoes looking fresh, round after round.
The footwear will be available on adidas.com and through the Adidas app.
