Todd Snyder and FootJoy reimagine how golf’s most iconic players from the Sixties and Seventies would dress if they stepped onto the links today. The result is the fall 2022 Todd Snyder x FootJoy Collection. Titled “The Links Collection,” the limited edition capsule is inspired by Scotland’s old-school “links” style coastal courses. The styles borrow traditional British menswear patterns and place them in modern, technical fabrics.
Building on FootJoy’s almost 100-year history as a leader in performance and comfort, Snyder designed the Links Collection, a capsule featuring polos, hoodies, cardigans, varsity jackets, trousers, and golf shoes inspired by vintage golf style yet reinvented for the modern gent. A vintage FootJoy logo depicts a golf ball and tee figures throughout the collection.
Snyder is no stranger to the game of golf. For the designer, golf was a way to spend quality time with family. Snyder says, “When I was little, I caddied for my dad and grandpa. I never had golf shoes until I was big enough to wear my dad’s, and he wore FootJoy. So I associate them with family time and comfort. I still remember how comfortable my dad’s shoes were.”
The Links Collection is FootJoy’s second collaboration with Todd Snyder. After the success of their previous collaborations, it made sense for the menswear designer to join forces again with FootJoy. The heritage brand has been the choice of well-shod golfers since Walter Hagen wore their spikes as captain of the American Ryder Cup team in 1927.
“We’re looking forward to the launch of The Links Collection and our continued partnership between FootJoy and Todd Snyder,” said Chris Tobias, Vice President of FJ Footwear. “This collection strongly interprets what golf style, authenticity, and performance mean to the modern golfer.”
