Designer Izumi Ogino, whose latest Anteprima Spring and Summer 2019 collection entitled Swing stirred up quite a feminine sports sensation on the runway during Milan Fashion Week in Milan, Italy. With a heady nod to the adventurous spirit of the late 1960s, the designs featured playful, sassy catsuits and elegant layering of pastel pieces inspired by nostalgic graphics. The soft tones and vibrant stripe found in each piece evoked a sense of quiet confidence that just might be a hit in the upcoming season.

The traditional image of an ideal woman is a work of art in progress. But in 1993 Anteprima Founder and Creative Director Izumi Ogina revolutionized that ideal by creating a contemporary new face. Inspired by her Asian homeland and global influences, Ogina envisioned that face to be one sensitive to beauty without borders – a woman with intuitive style and elegance in any situation. She is a woman who is intelligent, confident, feminine and joyful. From its inception, Anteprima has been dedicated to clothing this woman who has an unerring eye for beauty while refusing to be held back by artificial boundaries or cultural lines. Izumi draws inspiration for her designs from her love of globetrotting and passion for different art forms, including fine art, literature, music, dance and theatre, as well as her extensive knowledge in jewelry design, floral design and make-up.
