As the 153rd Open Championship unfolds at Royal Portrush, FootJoy and Harris Tweed unveil a limited-edition footwear collection that perfectly blends tradition, craftsmanship, and modern performance. This latest release from FootJoy honors the storied history of golf’s oldest major while celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Northern Ireland’s County Antrim.
This is the fifth year FootJoy has partnered with Harris Tweed Hebrides, and the 2025 collaboration introduces two exclusive models: the Premiere Series Packard and Field. Each pair features authentic, handwoven Harris Tweed wool in a classic plaid pattern, carefully selected to reflect the textures and tones of the rugged coastal landscape surrounding Royal Portrush. Rich navy and deep blue shades are accented by a bold burgundy windowpane, giving each shoe a distinct yet timeless character.

In keeping with Harris Tweed’s legacy, the fabric is handwoven by islanders in the Outer Hebrides using traditional techniques protected by the Harris Tweed Act. The wool is paired with premium full-grain leather and built on FootJoy’s acclaimed Premiere Series platform, delivering comfort, traction, and stability in every condition thanks to the brand’s proprietary VersaTrax+ technology.
The limited-edition collection will take center stage at The Open, as brand ambassadors and elite tour players, including former Masters champion Adam Scott, Ryder Cup standout Matt Wallace, and rising star Cameron Young, lace up in the Harris Tweed editions.

Each pair also comes with a custom shoe bag crafted from the same authentic Harris Tweed fabric used on the shoes, adding a refined finishing touch.
The Harris Tweed collection is now available online and at select retailers for a limited time. As the game’s greatest players compete on one of its most revered courses, this collaboration brings heritage to the fairway in every step.
