“There was a gap in what was being offered. Golf has long followed a singular narrative—one that hasn’t always included us. That’s changing. The game is growing for women, and it’s exciting to see. I wanted to create something that met that shift with intention—something that felt different, with edge, purpose, and point of view.” – Amanda Sheppard

A new voice in women’s golf fashion has arrived, and it’s rewriting the dress code. SMBR (pronounced “SYMBER”), the freshly launched golfwear brand founded by Amanda Sheppard, has officially debuted its first collection, Genesis—a line that reimagines what it means to dress for the course and beyond.

Photographed by acclaimed editorial fashion photographer Natasha Gerschon, the Genesis campaign is as much a visual manifesto as it is a lookbook. Gerschon’s images are avant-garde yet wearable, presenting silhouettes that feel runway-ready while rooted in performance. The campaign frames golf not as a sport bound by tradition, but as a stage for bold self-expression.

The collection itself is intentionally concise: three tops, three skirts, and one dress, each offered in two colorways. Strong color-blocking, rich earth tones, and sharp graphic lines bring edge to the timeless sport, symbolizing new beginnings and the breaking of boundaries. Designed with UV 50+ protection, four-way stretch, moisture-wicking properties, and shape retention, the garments embody the union of fashion and function.

For Sheppard, a lifelong golfer and former hospitality executive with Canucks Sports & Entertainment, SMBR was born out of frustration with the lack of stylish women’s golfwear. That philosophy extends beyond design. Each piece is crafted from premium European fabrics made with sustainability in mind and manufactured in the United States in small, limited-edition drops. The result is apparel that transitions seamlessly from course to city—exclusive, elevated, and never overproduced.

“SMBR’s lioness emblem reinforces its ethos: quiet power, individuality, and community.”

For the brand, the lioness is more than a logo. It’s a reminder that golf is not only competition, but also belonging, resilience, and identity. With Genesis, SMBR positions itself not just as a clothing line, but as a movement reflecting the confidence and clarity of a new generation of women golfers.
