Eastside Golf continues to reshape golf culture with bold initiatives that blend fashion, inclusivity, and innovation. The brand’s fall 2024 lineup is packed with major highlights, including a Nike collaboration, a pop-up experience in New York City, and a unique partnership with Bridgestone—all aligned with Eastside Golf’s mission to make golf “Everyone’s Game.”
Founded in 2019 by Olajuwon Ajanaku and Earl Cooper, Eastside Golf has been on a mission to make golf truly inclusive. The brand has swiftly gained a following for its authentic, stylish take on the game, drawing attention from celebrities, athletes, and fashion influencers alike. This year marks a turning point as Eastside Golf accelerates its reach through strategic collaborations.
Nike Collaboration: The ‘Everyone’s Game’ Fall Collection
At the heart of the fall 2024 collection is its first-ever footwear collaboration with Nike, cementing the brand’s presence at the intersection of sports and culture. The collection features two distinct Nike models: the Nike Air Max 1 ’86 OG, a non-spiked hybrid shoe, and the Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour 3, a high-performance golf shoe—the first of its kind for the brand.
Each shoe includes interchangeable Nike swooshes with designs that celebrate diversity and cultural references, such as Morehouse and Spelman College colors, and a gold chain that nods to the iconic swingman logo. Along with premium golf apparel and accessories, the collection reflects their ongoing commitment to elevating the sport and fostering inclusivity both on and off the course.
The collection will be previewed at their first-ever experiential pop-up shop in New York City from September 13–15, in collaboration with Shopify. This exclusive event offers giveaways, special collaborations, and limited-edition products, giving attendees a first look at the new Nike shoes before their wider release in October.
Expanding Retail Presence: New York City Pop-Up
The pop-up event, hosted at Shopify NY on Greene Street, marks a significant milestone in Eastside Golf’s retail strategy. In addition to showcasing the Everyone’s Game collection, the event underscores the brand’s innovation in bringing golf-inspired fashion to a broader, fashion-forward audience. Attendees will enjoy collaborations with Bridgestone, Paper Planes, and Ghostwrite, as well as a daily happy hour that fosters community engagement.
As part of the event, co-founders Ajanaku and Cooper will participate in Shopify’s Build Black fireside chat, sharing their insights with aspiring entrepreneurs. This outreach reinforces Eastside Golf’s mission to inspire others to be their authentic selves.
Bridgestone Collaboration: Tour B X Limited Edition Golf Balls
Eastside Golf has also teamed up with Bridgestone Golf to launch limited-edition Tour B X golf balls featuring the brand’s signature swingman logo. Released in time for the second annual Eastside Golf Invitational, these golf balls combine style with performance and will be available at select retailers and online.
Bridgestone’s collaboration with Eastside Golf goes beyond product releases, supporting the brand’s broader mission to make golf more accessible in diverse communities. Both brands are committed to fostering inclusivity in the sport, focusing on programs that support Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and the Advocates Professional Golf Association (APGA).
The Eastside Golf Invitational: Driving Change
On September 16, the brand will host its second annual Eastside Golf Invitational at Liberty National Golf Club, continuing its mission to showcase diversity in the sport. Sponsored by Mercedes-Benz USA, the event will spotlight HBCU golf programs and make a significant donation to Morehouse College’s golf team. The Invitational reinforces the mission and message that golf is for everyone, encouraging participants to embrace authenticity on the course.
Changing the Game, One Step at a Time
From its first collaboration with Jordan Brand in 2021 to the debut of its Nike footwear and Bridgestone golf balls, Eastside Golf is shaping the future of golf with bold style, performance, and inclusivity. As their pop-up opens in New York City, Ajanaku and Cooper are proving that golf isn’t just for the elite—it’s for everyone.
