Golf style is experiencing a revival—and it’s not just coming from the fairway.
With increasing influences from streetwear, skate culture, and fashion-forward thinking, adidas and Metalwood Studio have teamed up to deliver a collaboration that feels equally comfortable on and off the course. Originally released in February, the adidas x Metalwood capsule is now at the forefront of the Spring 2026 conversation as one of the most culturally significant drops in golf today.
At the core of this collection is a Y2K-inspired aesthetic that is bold, unapologetic, and rooted in an era when the lines between sport and style began to blur. Drawing inspiration from skateboarding, vintage adidas archives, and early 2000s silhouettes, the six-piece capsule reimagines golf apparel through a modern lifestyle perspective.

The lineup is intentionally concise and includes a polo shirt, a windbreaker, pants, a hat, a glove, and the standout MC70 golf shoe. Each piece features subtle yet deliberate design elements. The hero pants include zippered leg vents that reveal the iconic Three-Stripes, adding both functionality and a visual edge. The polo references adidas’ Teamgeist era from the early 2000s, bringing a familiar energy into a new context.
Then there’s the MC70.
Inspired by classic football boots but reworked with modern materials and performance technology, the shoe anchors the collection with a unique perspective. It embodies both heritage and innovation—designed for play but stylish enough to be the center of attention.

For Cole Young, the collaboration continues Metalwood’s mission to revisit and reinterpret golf’s past. The brand has cultivated a cult following by embracing the raw, often overlooked style of the 1990s and early 2000s—an era before golf fashion became overly polished and predictable. Combined with adidas’ global reach and technical expertise, the result is a capsule that feels authentic and not manufactured.
The campaign effectively brings this authenticity to life. A short film captures a group of friends racing to make their tee time, reflecting the spontaneity and personality of today’s golf culture. Appearances by Collin Morikawa and Nora Vasconcellos highlight the crossover between performance sports and street influences.

What makes this release resonate now is its timing. As golf attracts a younger, more style-conscious audience, the boundaries between sport, fashion, and culture are becoming increasingly fluid. The adidas x Metalwood capsule not only follows this shift but helps define it.
In today’s world, what you wear to the course is just as much a statement as how you play.
