DVF MADE FOR GLASS TAKES WEARABLE TECHNOLOGY TO THE NEXT LEVEL IN HIGH FASHION
Fashion powerhouse Diane von Furstenberg and Google have joined forces to launch the DVF Made for Glass collection of limited edition frames and shades. The fashionable collaboration walks the fine line between trendy fashion and technology. The limited edition collection of frames and shades is a watershed moment between technology and fashion.
“I have always been fascinated by technology and as a brand DVF embraces technology.” Says Diane von Furstenberg.
Notably, the smart eyewear allows you to engage with the World Wide Web hands free, leaving behind the cumbersome PC on the go. The Google team created the spectacles to make lives better, putting people in control of the information that they love at the simple touch of a button.
“Diane von Furstenberg is a visionary in the world of fashion and design,” said Claudio Gottardi, president and CEO of Marchon Eyewear, a VSP Global company. “It was a natural fit to combine her innovative spirit with our own to produce this groundbreaking collection that is the first to unite the leaders in fashion, technology and optical. DVF | Made for Glass is poised to take wearable technology to the next level in high fashion.”
The full collection will be sold on Google.com/Glass, and all exclusive packages are available on Net-A-Porter.com
Diane von Furstenberg and Google first collaborated on a short film “DVF Through Glass” which provided an insider’s view of Diane von Furstenberg’s Spring 2013 runway show.
