Since opening its doors in 1818, on the corner of Catherine and Cherry Streets in New York City, Brooks Brothers has grown from a small family haberdasher to become a global brand that has shaped and defined American style.
On January 10, 2018, Brooks Brothers staged its first-ever fashion show — in collaboration with Pitti Immagine Uomo 93, within the storied Salone dei Cinquecento in the historical landmark Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy. The Palazzo Vecchio was also the site of a sweeping retrospective of Brooks Brothers’ legendary archives.

Brooks Brothers was the first company to offer ready-made suits, the inventor of the button down collar shirt in 1896.
“Our anniversary marks a significant and historic milestone not only for Brooks Brothers but also for the fashion industry,” said Claudio Del Vecchio, Chairman, and CEO of Brooks Brothers. “This is a moment to celebrate two hundred years steeped in both tradition and innovation.”
