Golf-Themed Entertainment Center Re-Defines “Driving Range”
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]opgolf International has opened four new facilities across the country, with 65,000-square-foot venues that re-define the concept of what a driving range should be and enhance the idea of golf as entertainment. The new facilities–located in downtown Atlanta, GA; Naperville, IL; Centennial, CO; and Ashburn, VA–mark the rapidly growing company’s 19th through 22nd U.S. venues, with two more openings planned this year for Houston and Virginia Beach, and a flagship site next spring at the MGM Grand on the Las Vegas Strip.
Topgolf is a one-of-a-kind golfing entertainment experience. Forget the standard driving range with a half dozen or so pins scattered at different ranges and elevations on a 300×100-square-yard field. No, at Topgolf you’ll be listening to music, enjoying a thriving bar scene, chowing down good food, watching your favorite game on any number of hi-def TVs, oh, and at some point no doubt blasting some golf balls at any number of neon targets.

And while showing off your Tiger Wood’s style drives, you can play from among seven different competitive games while advanced technology tracks the accuracy and distance of your shots. Because Topgolf balls are embedded with computer chips that track each shot’s accuracy and distance, while awarding points for hitting targets on the outfield.
The seven different games are designed to be fun for both experienced golfers and novices, and provide challenge and practice for both the short and long games. Topgolf also uses its technology and facilities to offer golf lessons in a fun, non-intimidating fashion, with instant feedback and video analysis.
The four new three-level Topgolf facilities includes 102 climate-controlled driving bays; full-service restaurant; thee bars; 3,000 square feet of private event space; a rooftop terrace with fire pits; pool tables, and more than 250 high-definition flat-screen TVs.
Along with the 22 U.S. facilities, Topgolf International operates three venues in the United Kingdom. The company is planning to have 50 facilities in operation worldwide by the end of 2017.
Topgolf Atlanta Midtown is located at 1600 Ellsworth Blvd., NW, and joins Topgolf Apharetta, north of Atlanta on 109000 Westside Parkway.
