Known as “Franks little party in the desert”, Barbara and Frank Sinatra founded The Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational in 1988 to raise funds for the Barbara Sinatra Center for Abused Children at Eisenhower Medical Center, which opened in 1986.  Since then, more than 18,000 children who have suffered from physical, sexual, and emotional abuses have been helped through the foundations efforts, and its supporters throughout the world.

The Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational is also dedicated to the memory and music of Frank Sinatra in addition to benefiting the Barbara Sinatra Center for Abused Children.  The event enjoys a rich history of nearly three decades as one of the marquee golf and fundraising events in the Palm Springs, California desert.  Each year, celebrities, amateur contestants, loyal sponsors and enthusiastic spectators from all over the country look forward to returning to this unique “celebrity friendly” event.

The 26th Annual Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational, presented by Starkey Hearing Technologies, was held February 20-22, 2014, at Eagle Falls Golf Course at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California. Barbara Sinatra was the gracious hostess and supermodel Beverly Johnson who graced more than 500 magazine covers in the 1970s, was co-chair, along with Peter Marshall, who hosted Hollywood Squares on television for 16 years, was the Honorary Marshall.

The festivities officially kicked-off on Thursday, February 20 with registration and a pairings party with entertainment by country singer and songwriter Steve Azar; Friday began the first round of golf with a silent auction, Luncheon and Fashion Show in the afternoon, followed by dinner and auction party featuring the University of North Texas One O’Clock Lab Band and special appearance by Deana Martin, daughter of f Sinatra’s fellow Rat Pack buddy, singer Dean Martin.

Saturday was the final round of golf in the morning and a Black Tie Gala Reception and Dinner in the evening with Wayne Newton as the entertainment. The Gala Honoree was Anthony Scaramucci, founder and co-chair of Sky Bridge Capital, author, and contributor to CNBC.
