2017 Maserati Levante SUV

The Levante, Maserati’s first SUV made its highly anticipated American debut at the New York International Auto Show in 2016. As with many Maseratis from the past, the new car’s name is inspired by the wind: the Levante is a warm Mediterranean wind that can change from a light breeze to an irrefutable natural force in an instant, mirroring the character of the Maserati SUV.

The Levante as an ideal complement to the range, Maserati now covers the entirety of the global luxury automotive market together with the Quattroporte, Ghibli, GranTurismo and GranCabrio. “The introduction of the Levante marks a truly transformative moment in Maserati’s history and enables the Trident to address premium SUV car markets around  the world.

What Makes the Levante “the Maserati of SUVs”?

“The Levante is a true and pure Maserati that has perfect on-road and off-road capabilities, offering owners the ultimate in the elegance, convenience and comfort of a luxury SUV yet allowing for the release of your inner energy. It sets a new benchmark in terms of performance coupled with capability compared to the best current alternatives in the luxury SUV segment,” said Harald Wester, Chief Executive Officer of Maserati.

Design, Exclusivity and Performance are the key characteristics when describing this new Maserati SUV. It is distinctively Italian in style, with breathtaking and iconic Maserati design features. Its coupé-sleek exterior has the very best aerodynamic efficiency in its category with a Cx coefficient of just 0.31.

The interior is spacious and enhanced by the panoramic electric sunroof. The cabin is exceptionally quiet, and created with the finest materials, most exquisite to the touch, from premium leather to Ermenegildo Zegna silk, through to the Luxury and Sport packs for an exclusive look both inside and outside.

The technology installed on every Levante is designed to offer outstanding performance both on – and off-road: the sophisticated suspension, combined with electronically controlled damping and four corner air-springs with 5 different ride levels (as well as an extra-low level for parking) put the vehicle’s handling in a class of its own.

Engine-wise, the Levante is equipped with the latest evolution of the Maserati 3.0-liter V6 engine. The two versions of the twin-turbo engine are acclaimed for their unique Maserati signature sound and for their exceptional performance.

The Maserati V6 engine with twin turbochargers is available in two versions with different horsepower: the top of the range, Levante S, delivers 424 horsepower and the exciting Levante delivers 345 horsepower. The most powerful Levante sprints to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds and has a top speed of 164 mph, while the figures for the 345 horsepower version are 5.8 seconds and 156 mph, respectively.

Additional options include blind spot alert, surround view camera and power lift tailgate.

Two extended feature packs are available for the Levante, a Luxury Pack and a Sport Pack; they each include a variety of distinctive stylistic and technical contents and enable customers to extensively personalize the exterior and interior of the Levante. The list of accessories, tailored to the vehicle’s high quality and functionality standards, offers a wider array of options than ever before, which include cargo solutions, useful everyday items and a variety of roof carrier or trailer options.
