In an ongoing effort to the impact the future of golf participation, the USGA partnered with Deloitte to host the Deloitte U.S. Open IMPACT Day, a special day of golf for kids, leading up to the 117th U.S. Open Championship at Erin Hills, Wisconsin. The event was hosted on June 9, 2017, at Washington County Golf Course, located a few miles from Erin Hills. Over 100 kids from the USGA, LPGA, Girls Golf, and the surrounding community were invited to spend a day at the course and learn how to play the game of golf at a fun level.
Deloitte U.S. Open IMPACT Day was a memorable event, giving kids and the community a chance to get in the spirit of the game. Hopefully, U.S. Open IMPACT Day inspires a new wave of youngsters who will make an impact on the future of golf.
