International Fashion House Becoming Global Brand In Both Golf And Skiing

Swedish golf and ski apparel designer J. Lindberg released its autumn/winter 2015 skiwear collection with a line designed to continue the company’s ascent as a global brand in skiing. The new line fuses fashion with function by utilizing high-tech materials and innovative details with a Scandinavian approach. J. Lindberg is striving to create a completely new style of skiwear with its own unique identify and expression that will prove flattering, as well as comfortable and functional.

J. Lindberg’s rise as a global brand in skiing was enhanced this year through its official sponsorship and apparel partnering with the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championship in Vail–Beaver Creek. J. Lindberg skiwear can now be found in the world’s leading ski stores, and is sported by a number of professional alpine and free-style skiers, who serve as brand ambassadors. J. Lindberg has also been chosen as apparel partner for the 44th FIS Alpine World Ski Championship to be held in St. Moritz in 2017.

Founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 1996 with the vision of challenging the golf industry fashion establishment with its shapeless clothing and cotton fabric sportswear, J Lindberg introduced more fashionable styles with slimmer silhouettes and technical performance fabrics that treated golfers as stylish athletes. The company believes that the game has never looked the same since.

J. Lindberg set out to challenge the ski apparel industry in much the same manner starting in 2010, and the company has emerged as a leading international fashion house with a strong following among the world’s biggest stars in music, film, popular culture and–of course–sports. Today the men’s and women’s fashions in both golf and ski wear are available in over 950 stores in 35 countries.
